This article describes how to use the site tools when generating scenarios, how they can improve your generation. These tools can be found in the left hand panel on the Project Site page.
This tool creates a polyline on the site used for transportation. The road tool have two different types, path and street. Path defines a walk or bicycle lane where access with cars can not be made. Street is road objects which cars can use and tend to be wider in dimensions. The Hektar algorithm will based on these streets and paths expand the network with generated streets on the generative areas.
An area that you want to specify as a park. The parks will be considered in the total amount of green area, combined with generated green area.
An area that you want to designate to parking. The parking tool have three different types, underground, ground, and parking house. These respective types have individual settings, like amount of floors, size per parking spot etc. The parkings will be considered in the total amount of parking, combined with parkings on the generative areas.
An area inside your site where you wish buildings, parkings, parks or roads not to be generated. This can be if you for example have an exisiting building, park or other space you want to preserve.
The area not defined by any tool is called Generative Area. This area is used by our algorithms to define housing, in combination with green area and parkings to fullfil the goals you specified as input.
